Zuora Joins the Pledge 1% Builders Community

On this #GivingTuesday, we’re excited to announce that we’re joining the Pledge 1% Builders Community.

In 2017 Zuora took the 1% Pledge, and committed to using our equity, time, and product for the greater good. Since then, ZEO’s around the world have taken the initiative to start volunteering and fundraising efforts to benefit their communities.

To keep true to our pledge, Zuora announced the launch of Zuora.org earlier this year, which is the umbrella under which all of our philanthropic work sits. Zuora.org comprises three initiatives: the Zuora Impact Fund which invests in mission-aligned non-profits and social enterprises; employee-driven volunteer and fundraising activation; and use of Zuora products and services in the non-profit sector.

We’re extremely excited (and honored!) to join the Pledge 1% Builders Program, a community of socially conscious companies that think strategically about how they leverage their unique assets to be forces for good. Zuora, alongside companies like Okta, Box, Twilio, DocuSign and Upwork, will step on as an advisor and thought leader encouraging others to join the Pledge 1% movement and drive positive community impact.

As a leader in the equity for good space, we’ll share best practices around how and when companies can set aside equity to be used toward non-profit grants and investment in social enterprises. And as we grow our own programs, we’ll be able to share and learn from other leaders within this collaborative cohort.

“We’re very excited to join the Builders Community as it’s a way to accelerate and enhance the programs we’re building as part of Zuora.org. We’ll be able to share our experience in setting aside and allocating equity, but even more importantly, we’ll be able to learn from companies who have built sustainable programs leveraging their products and their employees. We see this community as a forum to share best practices and learn from one another, which is critical.” stated Rory Ihlamur, Director of Zuora.org.
